Poem: Hunger

Hunger

Sharp teeth snapping,
your roar echoing all around.
Spikey body swelling,
undulating, pulsating
as you chase your victims down.
Luring them closer
with aromas so heavenly.
Then...
Betray them,
tasting bitter,
empty, hollow.
Pooling all around
triumphantly you surround them,
devour them,
envelop and engulf them.
Your victory undisputable.
